I'd tried the standalone version first but also had problems with the installation (I think I found that certain files were missing), so I ended up using the "m" version which requires phpbb 2.

Personally, I'd recommend using the "m" version instead - so far it's working well for me.

Ok,

After following your input above:

I have successfully installed phpBB2 & auction1.0m, the offer pic(s) display correctly, however, it lacks many features of 1.2m & 1.3m.

I have installed phpBB2 & auction 1.2m, looks great, however, I can't get the offer pic(s) to display?

Same problem with phpBB2 & 1.3m, as well as 1.3.15s & 1.3.16s (offer pic won't display)

I have checked permissions (upload 777, upload/cache 777, etc...) and admin settings (Pic Approval set to "No") and have not been able to get the offer pic(s) to display.

I have tried updating as well, and still can't seem to get the offer pic(s) to display?

Any ideas are appreciated.

I may have encountered the same problem as you also.

Is it the main offer pic which is not appearing or just the additional ones that you can add?

Basically there was a coding problem in file "auction_view_offer_body.tpl" wherein many commands were missing quotations around them.

I'm unable to paste the code in as the forum keeps improperly displaying it, so search for the line which calls "END auction_offer_comment_add" and just below it you'll see the picture related section with the problematic coding. Fix that and I think your pictures will be fine.

* ALSO: if I remember correctly there was also an extra CLOSE TD command somewhere further down in the page which needs deleting.

you have to make sure all files (especially template files) are properly uploaded. sometimes the ftp programs are getting stuck. just check the filesize and you see whats wrong,

Just an FYI (and a wake up call for ALL of us), setting your pics to 777 is a bad practice. phpbb-auction is as secure as it can be. BUT, some lame skript kiddie just used a vulnerability from a different program to hack into phpbb.com. He wouldn't have gotten very far at all, but he found some pics set to '777' that he managed to inject some code into. THAT let him crack phpb.com open like an easter egg.

Start with 755 and see if that works out. If it doesn't, work your way backwards. If you end up back at 777 and nothing will work BUT giving full permissions to everybody, call your web host and yell at that to update their server. If their software is up to date, they don't need to lock you down to where you have to use 777 on the pics.
